International Students Admission Requirements:
To apply for admission to Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU) as an international student, applicants must provide certified copies of their Higher Secondary School Certificate, Intermediate Certificate, or equivalent document indicating satisfactory completion of secondary school. Additionally, applicants must arrange for the release of other relevant certified documents such as transcripts or detailed mark sheets to EMU.

Transfer Student Applications or Associate Degree Holders:
Students holding an Associate Degree or National Diploma can apply as transfer students to Bachelor Degree programs at EMU. Requirements for transfer applications include:
Transfer to 2nd, 3rd, 4th, or 5th semesters (Associate Degree or National Diploma holders generally start from the 5th semester)
No dismissal from a University
Completion of all required modules from previous classes
Minimum CGPA of 2.00 out of 4.00 or equivalent

English Proficiency Requirement:
All applicants for whom English is a second language must either take the EMU English Proficiency Exam or present documents demonstrating their English proficiency level.
Turkish Citizens:
Turkish citizens are placed through the Turkish National University Entrance Examinations.
Local Students (TRNC Citizens):
Citizens of the TRNC are required to sit for the EMU Entrance Examination, which also serves as their application for admission to EMU.
Admission Categories:
Admission to the English Preparatory Year Program: Most newly admitted students spend their first academic year in the English Preparatory Year Program to develop English proficiency and adjust to the university environment.
Admission Directly to Freshman Level: Students demonstrating proficiency in English adequate for university-level studies may register directly for freshman classes without enrolling in the English Preparatory Year Program.
The International Student Scholarship System at our institution offers various levels of financial support to deserving students. A significant number of international students benefit from 50% and 25% scholarships, which are awarded based on their academic performance and the chosen academic program. Applicants express their interest in these scholarships during the online application process for academic programs, and decisions are made accordingly. Successful candidates receive notifications indicating whether they qualify for a partial tuition waiver.
Additionally, we offer competitive full scholarships at both the undergraduate and PhD levels. For PhD programs, scholarship applications are submitted as part of the online graduate application process. Meanwhile, undergraduate students seeking full scholarships undergo evaluation by a scholarship committee. Applications for scholarships of type 7 are reviewed 30 days before the semester commences, while those for scholarships of type 3 are assessed 60 days before the semester starts. It's important to note that students must first secure admission to their chosen program to be eligible for consideration for these scholarships.
